THE SILK ROAD IMPORTANT ANSWERS FOR CLASS-XI (SNAPSHOTS)

THE SILK ROAD CLASS-XI (SNAPSHOTS) IMPORTANT QUESTIONS & ANSWERS ----------------------------------------------------- Q. The narrator, while travelling to Mount Kailash, observed many changes in the landscape. Discuss. Answer: The narrator and his companions took a short-cut to leave the Changtang region. Tsetan knew a route that would lead them southwest, almost straight towards Mount Kailash. This path required them to cross several fairly high mountain passes. Starting from the gently rising and falling hills of Ravu, the short-cut led them across wide open plains, empty except for a few gazelles grazing in the dry grasslands. As they moved ahead, the plains became more rocky than grassy, and soon they saw a large herd of wild asses.                Further on, the hills grew steeper, and they saw a few drokbas living alone and taking care of their flocks. Subject: Issues of Anti-Social Activities

Dear Sir,

Dear Editor,

Kindly allow me some space in your newspaper to highlight the issues of anti-social activities I write with a heavy heart concerning the rising tide of anti-social activities plaguing our town. The recent surge in incidents has not only stirred fear among the residents but has also tarnished the once vibrant spirit of our community. As a concerned citizen, I urge our town leaders and fellow residents to address this pressing issue before it erodes the fabric of our society.

The prevalence of vandalism, petty theft, and vandalism has escalated alarmingly, creating an atmosphere of unease and insecurity. Such activities not only threaten our safety but also dampen the sense of unity and belonging that has long defined our town. It's disheartening to witness the erosion of trust and the fear that grips our neighborhoods, especially among the vulnerable members of our community.

To combat this menace, collaborative efforts must be initiated. First and foremost, bolstering community engagement and fostering stronger bonds among residents is pivotal. Neighborhood watch programs, regular community meetings, and outreach initiatives can facilitate dialogue and encourage collective vigilance.

Furthermore, investing in youth-oriented programs and recreational activities can divert the attention of our younger generation away from the path of delinquency. Providing constructive outlets for their energy and creativity can steer them toward positive pursuits, thereby reducing the inclination toward anti-social behavior.

Law enforcement plays a pivotal role in maintaining order and security. Increased police presence, coupled with community policing initiatives, can serve as a deterrent to anti-social elements while fostering a sense of safety among residents.

Education and awareness campaigns about the consequences of anti-social behavior should be widely disseminated. Empowering individuals with knowledge about the impact of their actions on the community can inspire responsible behavior and discourage unlawful activities.

In conclusion, addressing anti-social activities demands a collective effort. By fostering a sense of unity, engaging our youth positively, reinforcing community bonds, and implementing effective law enforcement measures, we can reclaim the safety and harmony that define our beloved town.

Therefore, through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to request the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take proper steps to check the increasing anti-social activities.

Yours Sincerely,

Ramesh Sinha
